About COTA
COTA first hit the road in 1974 when local area governments threatened by the loss of service from a privately owned transit company, came together to form the Central Ohio Transit Authority. Today, a 13-member board of trustees oversees COTA and appoints a president/CEO to manage the authority’s day-to-day operations.
The men and women of COTA remain driven by their vision, working to provide safe, reliable, convenient, affordable and user-friendly transportation for every resident and visitor of Central Ohio. They are committed to excellence and strive to remain true to their mission. COTA values inform the actions of every employee, every day – appropriate behaviors, communication, customers, diversity, ethical practices, recognition of employee contributions and safety.
